The Karuru Hike
Karuru Falls, Aberdares
Karuru Waterfalls, the highest water fall in Kenya, is situated in the Aberdare National Park. It is a 3 step waterfall - the first step being 117 meters, then the 2nd 26 meters and the 3rd 130 meters totaling a staggering 275 meters.
What to expect.
Besides Karuru Falls, we will visit 2 more water falls, Chania & Magura and also the Queens cave.
The Itinerary.
- 5:15 AM - Meet in Nairobi.
- 5:30 AM - Departure for Mutubio West Gate.
- 09:30 AM - Arrival at Mutubio
- 9:45 AM - Hike Starts
- 10 AM - 3:45 PM - Karuru, Chania, Magura, Queens Cave Hike.
- 5:00 PM - Buffet Lunch.
- 6:00 PM - Travel Back to Nairobi.

- Identification documents
- Well-treaded hiking shoes
- Reusable bottle - 2+ litres
- Snacks
- Rain coat, pants and changing cloths (Optional)

The distance from the mutumbio gate to the Karuru park cark is approximately 9Km. You can choose to hike the entire distance or by car to the car park located 3km from the fall itself.
From the car park to the Karuru Falls is 3Km which takes approximately 30 mins for an average hiker
